Alexis Sanchez was pictured looking pensive during Arsenal's defeat to Man City, and it got tongues wagging

Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez’s contract is running out, and the result is that speculation as to his future at the club has been magnified – and that will only continue after defeat at Manchester City.

One image of Sanchez surfaced pretty quickly as it became apparent Arsenal were on course for defeat, and it filled former Arsenal striker Ian Wright – and other Arsenal fans – with dread.

It did not look good – was Sanchez thinking about anything more than the game?

If Arsenal aren’t challenging for the biggest trophies, will their biggest players stay?

Who would fans rather keep if they had to choose between Sanchez and Mesut Ozil?

Here are some pictures of Sanchez and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola after the game. The two have worked together before…

…could he work with him again one day?
