Airtricity League round-up: Cork City pile more misery on Shamrock Rovers

Cork City have gone to within seven points of Dundalk at the top of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division after beating Shamrock Rovers 3-0.

City beat Rovers 5-0 last Friday in the FAI Cup and continued their good form at Turners’ Cross tonight.

Sean Maguire, Greg Bolger and Garry Buckley got the goals for the team who have also got a game in hand on Dundalk.

Elsewhere, Galway had a 2-0 win against Bohemians, Longford Town have beaten Finn Harps 1-0 and it finished scoreless between Wexford Youths and Derry City.

In the First Division, Drogheda beat Shelbourne 2-0, UCD lost 1-0 at home to Cobh Ramblers and there were no goals between Waterford and Cabinteely.
