Tempting home in East Cork for anyone about to take the plunge

With three bedrooms over three floors in a modern-built Cloyne house, this one certainly has a moderate asking price, writes Trish Dromey.

The condition of 3, The Green, Lus an Ime, in Cloyne, and the €210,000 asking price, could prove attractive to a buyer thinking of taking the property plunge in the New Year.

Hegarty Properties say the 2005-built three-storey three-bed semi has been owner-occupied by a couple who bought it two years ago and is immaculately presented,

There’s 1,150 sq ft of accommodation spread over three floors, which makes and it’s a bit more spacious than the average three-bed semi.

The ground floor has a laminate-floored sitting room with a cream fireplace and kitchen/dining room with walnut fitted units and tiled flooring. In addition to these rooms, there’s a walk in pantry, a small utility room and a guest WC.

The first floor has two laminate floored bathrooms and a bathroom which has been revamped by the owners with purple and grey tiling and a new shower. Up on the second floor is a master bedroom with Sliderobes and an en suite.

Over looking a green area, the house has a driveway at the front and a garden with a shed at the rear.

Auctioneer Kyle Kennedy says the location is perfect for an East Cork buyer looking for a family home.

“It’s close to amenities in Cloyne village and is within a short walk from Cloyne National School,” he says, adding that buses from secondary schools in Midleton pass the front of the development.

Lus an Ime is a ten-minute walk from the village and 8.5km eight and a half kilometres from Midleton.

The Property Price Register shows 3 The Green selling for €210,000 in August 2017.
