Don’t miss the exciting art exhibitions that are happening in Dunmore East at The Strand Inn. They’re presented in association with Artform School of Art and the summer series opened with an exhibition by artist Tom King.

There will be six exhibitions in the series, stop by to see work by Irish and international artists, most of them mentors at Artform School of Art. The exhibition will run uninterrupted until mid-September. Pictured here is ‘Boats at Dunmore East’ by Dave West, who painted it in the beautiful County Waterford fishing village.

On at the Blackwater Valley Arts Centre at the moment is ‘As an Sliogán’, a solo graduate show by Niamh Dorgan. Expect drawings, poetry, paintings and digital collage works on paper, all inspired by nature; Dorgan’s work is textural and full of natural elements.

As an Sliogáin ‘from the shell’ is an exploration of the Irish coastline, the flora and fauna that reside within the sea. Next up at the creative hub in the heart of Fermoy is ‘Janus’, an exhibition of artwork by Cian O’Sullivan from before, during and just after his two years studying for an MA in Art Therapy.
