Esther N McCarthy mixes it up with spins on kitchen classics, Munster-based design news plus an absolute diamond of a pouf
Little Green Dot in Clonakilty has rebranded to Green Dot-Irish Design Makers and is a hub for beautiful, ethically-made Irish craft and design. These adorable organic pixie hats, €23, are a good example of what to expect if you pay a visit.
The outer layer is made from ethically-sourced, organic cotton-jersey and lined with super soft and breathable 100% organic cotton (all are GOTS certified). Made with their ‘eco-cool’ ethos, so the fabrics are chosen with baby in mind (soft and breathable with fun, child-friendly prints). The in-house craft studio is still home of Little Green Dot and other creative projects, plus they also commission and collaborate with other makers.
The shop stocks the work of over 40 Irish-based designer-makers and the main focus is on promoting well-made, unique, handcrafted work. www.greendotdesignshop.com

How cute is this diamond pouf? I’m loving the jacquard fabric with shaded chevron patchwork - and I’m loving, even more, the fact that it’s detachable for the wash!
It’s Cuscion from Missoni and the price tag is €723 High end, but it’s good to dream. www.missoni.com
On The Bathroom Shelf, this week is a brand new launch from Tiffany & Co, Tiffany & Love for Him and Tiffany & Love for Her. A cute idea, these are complementary fragrances and the brand’s first exploration into the dual fragrance category, and the inaugural launch of men’s fragrance under the creative direction of Reed Krakoff, chief artistic officer, Tiffany & Co.
It would be a really nice present for your favourite couple, or a sneaky way of getting yourself a scent while buying a pressie for your other half. Win, win!
Each fragrance has its own unique structure but shares a common hero ingredient, blue sequoia.
For the bathroom, have a look at this Vado floor standing bath and show mixer, it’s in bright gold if you’re into the metallic trend.
The price tag is around the €1,517 mark, available from Earthridge International, www.earthridge.ie
