Under the hammer: Your guide to auctions and art events

The February auction at Woodward’s in Cork got underway today at 11am. There is a selection of antique furniture, garden furniture, art, and collectibles on offer. The sale is online at easyliveauction.com.

An online auction of Irish art by Morgan O’Driscoll continues until next Monday evening. It is on view in Skibbereen from 11am to 3pm on Monday. There is art by John Behan, Paul Henry, John Butler Yeats, Maurice Wilks, Brian Ballard, Sean McSweeney, and many other artists. The catalogue is online.

Oliver Usher’s on-the-premises auction at Dowdstown House, Dalgan Park, Navan, on behalf of the Columban Fathers gets underway at 11am today. Purcell Auctioneers of Birr will hold a spring antiques and collectibles sale on Wednesday. In Dublin there will be a fine art and interiors auction at Adam’s, Blackrock, next Tuesday.

Hibernian Antique Fairs will be at Kilronan Castle, Boyle, today and tomorrow. Meanwhile there will be an antique fair at the Glenview Hotel, Glen of the Downs in Wicklow tomorrow.
