Des O’Sullivan previews Sheppard’s upcoming sale in Durrow.
All the magnetic appeal of a good rummage in the attic is contained at Sheppard’s Gems From the Attic sale in Durrow next Tuesday.
The sale is composed of 700 lots from the attics, stables, and storerooms of important clients throughout Ireland.
On offer are one-of-a-kind treasures, decorative objects, furniture, rugs, glassware, art and collectibles, all at very attractive price points.
There are brass fire-irons and occasional tables, chairs, worktables, shelves, Oriental and European porcelain, silver, Cranberry glass, painted furniture, mirrors, lamps, and a selection of artwork.
Auctioneer Philip Sheppard said: “If you are a new collector or someone who has a limited budget, then the Durrow: Gems from the Attic sale is just about perfect.”
Viewing is in Durrow from 10am to 5pm, from today and for the next three days.
The sale gets underway at 10.30am on Tuesday.
The catalogue is online and internet bidding is available.
