On the red carpet: Janelle Monáe, Lupita Nyong’o, Halsey and Meg Ryan

On the red carpet this week...

Janelle Monáe

Janelle Monáe won The Visionary Award at the 2018 Glamour Women of the Year Awards.

The star wore a trapeze-tiered Jean Paul Gaultier Couture dress and tailored jacket.

She’s also wearing black ankle socks with court shoes here, an atypical way to finish a couture look.

Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita Nyong’o was fairy-like in a delicate Celine dress at the same event.

She toughened it up with a biker jacket to honour Senator Kamala Harris on stage.

Sandals by Nine West brought a little high street to the red carpet.

Halsey

Halsey attends 2018 Glamour Women Of The Year Summit: Women Rise in vintage Christian Dior by John Galliano, which is lovely.

I can’t say I’m down with the harness or even those boots but maybe she wanted to grunge up a pretty dress.

Meg Ryan

Meg Ryan helped The Friar’s Club honour Billy Crystal with their Entertainment Icon Award in New York this week.

A rare sight on the red carpet these days, she was elegant in an embroidered tulle dress by J.Mendel.

Simple styling and classic makeup let the details shine.
