Several people from Northern Ireland have contracted the Zika virus, according to reports.
It is understood one person was treated for the disease last week and up to five people have been treated for the disease in the last year.
It is believed those diagnosed with Zika have all travelled outside of Northern Ireland.
The Zika virus is not considered a global health emergency according to the World Health Organisation.
