Young man taken from house and shot in leg in Belfast

Police in the North are investigating a shooting in Belfast.

A man in his 20s was taken from a house by a number of masked men, taken to a green area and shot in the leg in the Downfine Walk area in the west of the city shortly before 9pm yesterday.

One of the attackers is reported to have made off on foot towards a local youth club while the others left the scene in a dark-coloured saloon car.

The man's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
