Woman killed in Cork crash

A woman has been killed in a crash involving a car and a truck in Co Cork.

The crash happened at Rea's Cross on the road between Castletownroche and Mallow at 10.10am.

The woman who died was the driver of the car. A nine-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was uninjured.

The truck driver was also unhurt in the crash.

Gardaí have closed the road for a technical examination, and any witnesses are asked to contact the station in Fermoy.
