Woman held following fatal stabbing

A woman in her 30s continues to be questioned by Gardai in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Dublin.

The incident happened at a house in Páirc Glenn Trasna in Aylesbury, Tallaght shortly before 7.30pm last night.

The man, who is in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The house has been sealed off and the scene is being preserved for technical examination.

The body remains at the house and a preliminary post-mortem is due to be carried out there later today.

The woman who was arrested in the aftermath of the attack is being held at Tallaght Garda station.
