Woman dies, two injured, in two-car collision

A woman has died in a road accident in Co. Westmeath.

Two cars collided on the N4 at Bunbrosna at around 9.20am this morning and the female driver, who was the only person in the car, died at the scene.

A man driving the other car involved in the accident and a female passenger were taken to hospital.

There is no information on their condition.

The road is closed for a forensic investigation and diversions are in place.
