Woman charged with murder of Eddie Girvan

A 29-year-old woman will appear in court in the north this morning - charged with murder of Eddie Girvan in Antrim.

The 67-year-old was found dead in his home in the village of Greenisland last Monday evening – he had been tied up and stabbed.

A number of items including a car were taken from the father of two's home in the raid.

Officers charged a woman with his murder last night and she will appear at Lagan Magistrates court this morning.

Two men arrested for questioning, in connection with Mr Girvan's murder were released unconditionally on Thursday.
