Woman arrested after Newry stabbing attack

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in the North.

The attack happened in the Sandys Street area of Newry in the early hours of this morning.

The PSNI said they had arrested a 27-year-old woman.

Detective Inspector Keith Gawley said she is being questioned on suspicion of attempted murder.

“She is currently in police custody,” he added.
