Winning Lotto ticket sold in west

The latest winning lottery ticket was sold in Co Mayo.

The ticket - a €3 quick pick - has scooped the weekend jackpot of more than €2.9m.

The numbers drawn were 7, 8, 18, 28, 35, 39. The bonus number was 37.

The winning ticket was sold in Tesco, Silverbridge, Knock Road, Claremorris.

Marie Crowe who works there told Mid West Radio she may have sold the winning ticket.

"It's very unusual to sell a €3 one. It's nearly always a €4," she said. "I know I did sell a €3 one to someone, so I have a feeling in my waters, as they say, that it could be that person."
