Wexford gardaí arrest man after fatal Gorey crash

Wexford gardaí investigating a fatal crash in Gorey have arrested a man.

The man is his 30s was arrested this afternoon and is being held at Gorey garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The dead woman was named earlier today as Kelly Gregan from Tara Hill in Gorey.

Ms Gregan was one of two pedestrians hit by a car which had driven through a red light on the Main Street in Gorey in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Ms Gregan died later in hospital. Her friend sustained injuries which are not life-threatening.

The car was later found burned out.
