Waterford Gardaí investigate 'serious incident'

Gardaí in Waterford have launched an investigation into a serious incident that took place on the Tramore Road last night.

They are appealing to anyone who was on the walkway opposite the Kingfisher complex between 11:15pm and 12:15am.

Gardaí are particularly keen to speak to four people who were in the Cherrymount Estate between 11pm and 1am.

They believe these four individuals may hold vital information.

The nature of the incident is not being released at this time for operational reasons, but anyone who witnessed anything is asked to contact Gardai.
