A viable explosive device found in Dublin has been made safe by the Army Bomb Disposal Team.
The device was found outside a private residence near the Malahide Road in Artane just before 11am this morning.
The area was cordoned off and traffic restrictions were put in place.
The device was rendered safe without the need for a controlled explosion and was then handed over to the Gardaí.
This brings to 110 the total amount of call outs for the Army Bomb Disposal Team so far this year.
