Two men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

Police in Belfast have arrested two men on suspicion of attempted murder, after another man was shot in the leg last night.

The PSNI was called to a shooting incident on Glasvey Drive shortly before midnight where a 41 year old man was found with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment, where his condition is described as serious.

Two men aged 25 and 35 were arrested, and were taken into custody for questioning.

Detectives say a motive for the shooting has not yet been established.
