Two injured in Tullamore shooting

A man and a woman have been injured following a shooting incident in Tullamore this evening.

A gunman came from a car and shot at the 32 year old man who was returning home. The man and his partner, who came to answer the door, were injured in the incident.

The gunman fled the scene in the car, which was later found burned out four miles away in Durrow.

The man and woman were taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore, but their injuries aren't believed to be life threatening.
