Two held in connection with Limerick bank robbery

Gardaí are questioning two men this morning in connection with a bank robbery in Co Limerick yesterday morning.

Three men dressed in fluorescent jackets held up the Bank of Ireland on Lord Edward Street in Kilmallock just after 11am.

They threatened staff before fleeing in a waiting car with an undisclosed sum of money.

Gardaí investigating the theft arrested one man at around 2pm yesterday and a second man at around 5pm.
