Two held after couple tied up in raid on Dublin home

An elderly couple are recovering after being tied up in raid on a house in Dublin.

The couple in their mid 60s were attacked by a group of four armed men at their home in Templeogue at around 10am this morning.

They were tied up as the raiders demanded money.

Gardaí were alerted to the incident and arrived at the scene, arresting two of the four men at the house.

The other two raiders made their escape on foot.

The men arrested are aged 35 and 25 and are being held for questioning at Rathmines and Terenure Garda Stations under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.

The couple are said to be traumatized but unharmed following the raid.
