Two due in court over Kerry drugs, firearm seizure




Two men are due in court in Kerry this afternoon charged in connection with the seizure yesterday of drugs and a firearm in the county.

The two- one aged 29 and one in his 30s - were arrested yesterday along with a woman in her 20s after gardaí raided two houses in Tralee and Ardfert.

Cannabis plants with a total estimated street value of €177,00o was recovered in the raids as well as a handgun, ammunition and a bulletproof vest

The two are scheduled to appear before a special sitting of Killorglin District Court at 2.30pm.

The female in her 20s was released late last night and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
