Two due in court in connection with €1.5m heroin seizure

Two men in their 30s are due in court after the seizure of €1.5m worth of heroin.

10kgs of the drug were seized when two cars were stopped on the Naas Road in Dublin, near Rathcoole, yesterday.

During the joint operation between the Gardaí and Customs the men, aged 32 and 39, were arrested.

Four premises were also searched in counties Wexford and Dublin.

Both men have been charged with drug trafficking offences and will be appearing in court this morning.
