Two charged in connection with dissident republican activity

Gardaí have charged two men in connection with an investigation into dissident republican activity.

The men are due to appear before a sitting of the Special Criminal Court at 11am this morning.

Two other men arrested in connection with this investigation were released from Garda custody without charge.

Files are being prepared for the DPP.

All four men were arrested on May 13 and detained at various Garda Stations in the Dublin Metropolitan Region under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended at various.
