Two arrested over cannabis grow-house discovery in Westmeath

Gardaí have seized cannabis plants worth €150,000 in Co Westmeath.

A grow-house was discovered during a search of a rural dwelling at Moyvoughly in Moate earlier today.

Gardaí have described the grow house as sophisticated, which contained cannabis plants in various stages of growth.

Two women were arrested in connection with the discovery.

They were taken to Athlone Garda Station where they can be questioned for up to 7days.
