Tuam gardaí appeal for information after suspected criminals crash car

Gardaí in Tuam are appealing for witnesses after a car which is believed to have been involved in criminal activity crashed in the south Mayo/north Galway area on Thursday night.

The car - a blue Volvo with a 08 or 09 registration - was found crashed at around 9.30pm at Bellmont, Milltown, in Co Galway.

Gardaí say was the driver of the car and its occupants were "acting suspiciously" in the Hollymount area before the crash.

Two men were arrested at the scene while two or three other individuals are believed to have fled on foot.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Tuam garda station.
