Transport Minister 'mystified' by NRA lack of funding claim

The Transport Minister says he's 'mystified' at reports that the National Roads Authority has run out of money for its capital programme.

It has been reported that the NRA does not have the funds to build 40 roads including bypasses and dual carriageways.

Noel Dempsey says the authority has €1.1bn to spend this year and that the Government is yet to announce its future funding commitments.
