Tonight's Top Gear will feature Kerry scenery and the Wild Atlantic Way

The beauty of County Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way will be showcased on Top Gear tonight.

Presenters Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc came to Ireland earlier this year to film a segment for the motoring show.

Some 2.4m viewers will tune in to see some of the scenery that they captured.

Independent TD for Kerry Michael Healy Rae said the increase of tourists to the area will be felt around the country : “Well unless they all come in by Kerry airport they are going to have to come here by road.

“They can’t swim here, so it is going to be good for our neighbouring counties also and a rising tide lifts all boats so yes it will have a positive impact not just to the people of Kerry, but indeed all of Ireland.”
