Today the last day to register for referendum vote

Today is the final day for people to ensure they are registered to vote in the upcoming referendums.

The list of voters can be viewed at checktheregister.ie.

The country will have its say on the marriage and presidential age referendums two weeks from Friday.

Spokesperson for the Referendum Commission, Mark Breatnach, has this advice for anyone not on the list so far: "You go to the website, checktheregister.ie, there you will find a tab for application forms.

"You download the form, fill it out, bring it to a Garda station, get it stamped and then get it to your local authority office by the close of business today."
