Time for referendum on children's rights is now, says O'Rourke

Fianna Fáil TD Mary O'Rourke said today that there can be no more delays in holding a referendum on children's rights.

Speaking at the MacGill Summer School in Glenties, she said the referendum should also be kept separate from the three outstanding by-elections.

The referendum proposes changing the constitution, followed by legislation to ensure that children have increased rights.
