Three sought in connection with Drimnagh shooting

Three people are tonight being hunted by gardaí over the shooting of a woman at a house in south Dublin.

The attack took place shortly before lunchtime in Drimnagh.

It is believed two men drove into Knocknarea Road in a silver BMW shortly before 1pm and one of them opened fire with a number of shots before speeding off.

The woman, aged in her 50s, was inside at the time and was rushed to St James’ Hospital for treatment.

Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The car was later found near Walkinstown Road.

One of the men is described as 5ft 7 inches tall, between 17-20 years old and was wearing a black ’floppy’ hat.

The second is thought to be 5ft 5 inches, around the same age with short brown hair and wearing a bright multicoloured waist length jacket.

A white van was also seen in the area and believed to have been involved in the attack.

The driver is thought to be around 24-25 years old with short brown hair.

A garda spokesman said anyone with information on the shooting should contact detectives at Sundrive Road.
