Three in hospital after two aggravated burglaries in Belfast

The PSNI are investigating two aggravated burglaries in Co Antrim.

The first one happened at around 10pm last night at Greenland Parade in Larne.

A man in his 50s was attacked with batons by masked intruders, and he was taken to hospital for treatment.

At around 1.25am this morning, a man and woman were assaulted by masked men who forced their way into their house at Ballybogey Road in Ballymena.

Both victims were hospitalised.

A 50-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of aggravated burglary and assault in connection with that incident.
