Teenage girl stabbed in Belfast burglary

A 16-year-old girl has been stabbed during a burglary at a house in Belfast.

She was attacked after two masked men forced their way into the property at Lisvarna Heights in the west of the city just after 1pm this afternoon, officers said.

The girl was treated for an injury to her arm.

Another woman in the house at the time suffered minor injuries during an altercation.

A spokeswoman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
