Teenage girl killed in suspected hit-and-run

Gardaí are investigating a suspected hit-and-run incident in Co Cavan.

A teenage girl was killed when she was struck by a car on the N3 between Virginia and Kells.

It is believed the incident happened in the early hours of this morning.

Motorists are being advised that the road is closed and diversions are in place via Mullagh.
