Teachers' union talks adjourn until next week

Talks between teachers' unions and the Department of Education in a bid to resolve the row over the Junior Cert have adjourned until Monday.

A spokesperson for the Association of Secondary Teachers in Ireland said there would be no statement while the talks are ongoing.

Members of the ASTI and TUI have already held two days of strike action over the changes, and say a third will follow if there is no breakthrough.
