Taoiseach to meet Merkel on German visit

The Taoiseach is in Germany today to meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Enda Kenny will discuss the Irish economy and current EU issues during the one-day programme in Berlin.

Mr Kenny and Ms Merkel will address a German Economic Council, where the Taoiseach will deliver the keynote address to more than 2,000 German business representatives.

He will also visit a section of the former Berlin Wall, as this year marks the 25th anniversary since its fall.
