Taoiseach: No reversal of decision on University Hospital Waterford

The Taoiseach has said there will not be a reversal of the decision on University Hospital Waterford.

Independent Alliance Minister John Halligan has threatened to "rain hell" on the Government if services are not expanded.

However a clinical review did not recommend the addition of the second cath lab the minister wants.

Enda Kenny says they won't be reversing that decision: "If the report had said yes, a second cath lab is warranted, well then that is a different matter, it didn’t say that and within the findings of the report, we have honoured

"And the minister has actually gone beyond where he needed to go, in order to give the people of Waterford in the South-East region the very best level of service."
