Taoiseach meets with US senators in Dublin

The Taoiseach has met with members of the US Congress to discuss the future of the Irish economy.

Brian Cowen held talks today in Dublin with senators from Alabama, Mississippi and Vermont.

During the meeting, Mr. Cowen discussed the importance of trade between Ireland and the United States.

The Fianna Fáil leader also raised the issue of illegal Irish immigrants in the United States, calling for a solution that would allow people to move more freely between the two countries.
