Taoiseach: BAI must decide if second 'Tweetgate' inquiry needed

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has said the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland will now decide if there is a need for a further inquiry into the 'Frontline' presidential debate programme.

There are continuing calls for a public inquiry into alleged bias at RTE after defeated candidate Sean Gallagher wrote to the Communications Minister Pat Rabbitte yesterday.

That letter has now been passed to the BAI by Minister Rabbitte for further consideration.

Mr Kenny has told the Dáil this afternoon the BAI must now decide if another inquiry is needed.
