Tánaiste: People have chance to vote 'for stability'

The Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has described the situation in Greece as "very worrying".

Last-ditch efforts will be made to form a Government of Technocrats by the end of today, and if they fail Greece will go to the polls again.

Yesterday, the euro hit a three-month low following market concerns about Greece's future in the single currency.

Speaking at his party's launch of Irish language posters calling for a 'Yes' vote in the EU Fiscal Treaty referendum, Mr Gilmore said Irish people have a chance to vote in favour of stability and against the economic uncertainty of Greece on May 31.
