A 22-year-old man has appeared in court in Dublin charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in Swords on Thursday.
Twenty-year-old James Joyce died after a row on St.Cronan's Avenue in Swords.
His girlfriend, who is six months pregnant, was with him at the time.
The accused, Daniel McCormack, was brought before Dublin District Court charged with the manslaughter of Mr Joyce.
He was remanded in custody until Wednesday next when he is due to appear at Cloverhill at 10.30am.
There was no appeal for bail from Mr McCormack and no objection to free legal aid.
Meanwhile gardaí at Swords are appealing to witnesses to come forward.
