Suspect device found under car of police officer in Belfast

A suspect device has been found under the car of a police officer in Belfast.

The security alert in the east of the city has led to a number of homes being evacuated.

Army experts are working to establish if the device is a viable bomb.

Part of the Upper Newtownards Road, between the Knock Road junction and Cabin Hill Park, have been closed to traffic.

Diversions are in place.
