Strike action will make things 'worse', says Dempsey

The Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey has said strike action could make things "much more difficult".

Unions have warned of a prolonged campaign of industrial action following the Government's decision to cut public sector pay in the Budget.

Cuts of between 5% and 15% were announced.

Noel Dempsey says the corrective action the Government is taking is working.
