Spanish residents take to streets in support of protesters at home

Members of Ireland's Spanish community will take to the streets today in support of the on-going protests in Spain.

The protesters say they are looking for real choice in the forthcoming election, free of corruption and rising unemployment rates.

The demonstrations will take place this afternoon in O'Connell Street in Dublin and in Cork City centre at Grand Parade.

Jesus Garcia, who lives in Ireland, said he blamed the banks and government in Spain for bringing the country to brink of an EU bailout.
