Six for court over Wexford drug seizures

Six people are due in court today charged in connection with drug seizures in Co Wexford.

The five men and a woman, aged from their mid-20s to early 60s, are due before Gorey District Court at 10.30am this morning.

They were detained on Monday under Operation Serpentine, which targets the cultivation and sale and supply of drugs in the South East.

Some €128,000 worth of cocaine, cannabis resin and cannabis herb was seized when six properties across Wexford were raided.

Another man who had also been detained on Monday has since been released without charge.
