SIPTU members to meet Pfizer bosses over redundancies

Members of the SIPTU trade union will meet with management at Pfizer later today after the company announced earlier this week that it is seeking 150 redundancies at their plant in Newbridge in Co Kildare.

The cuts are expected to come into force by March of next year.

The company also announced it will close its packaging operation at the plant by 2015.
