Security to be reviewed after escape from Cork courthouse

The Prison Service has vowed to review security at a courthouse in Cork city after three prisoners escaped from custody at the building yesterday.

The men broke out of a holding area at Angelsea Street Courthouse at around 1pm, but were recaptured within 10 minutes.

The three were among a group of nine prisoners who tried to rush past four prison officers at an open door.
