Search continues for man missing on Kerry coast

A major search operation is continuing this morning for a man reported missing on the Kerry coast yesterday evening.

Valentia Coastguard was alerted to the situation shortly before 7.30pm when gardaí called for assistance.

The Shannon Rescue helicopter and a number of lifeboats were dispatched to the scene at Rossbeigh beach, near Killorglin.

However, they failed to find any trace of the man before darkness fell last night.
